Spotify brings music to video streaming in Starz’s app

Want to watch a movie or your favorite TV show and listen to music using the same app? Spotify and Starz have come together to launch a streaming music integration into the STARZ premium video streaming service app so you can do just that.

Starz launched a free app that puts the Spotify experience into its premium video experience for STARZ Original series and other STARZ premium movie and television content. App subscribers have access to Spotify music including songs from TV shows such as “Power” and moves such as “Star Wars: The Force Awakens,” “Annie,” and “Inside Out.”

The STARZ app is for subscribers who want to stream or download STARZ premium content. For $8.99 per month with a seven-day free trial for new subscribers, viewers can access more than 3,500 selections, including series such as “Outlander,” “Power,” “Black Sails,” “The Girlfriend Experience,” and “Survivor’s Remorse,” and the upcoming “American Gods,” as well as other content including movies.

According to Starz, Spotify Premium users can listen to full tracks while free users can listen to 30-second previews. All users can also save and follow Spotify playlists in the Starz app.
