Spotify's social sharing feature allows you to share your favorite songs or albums with friends on Facebook easily. However, that would be annoying sometimes, as you'll find Spotify songs would keep posting to Facebook without any notification. To use Spotify without Facebook, you can simply disconnect your Spotify account from Facebook. How? The following guide will show you the easy solutions to unlink Spotify from Facebook in detail.
There is an idea to change this on the community though. If you connected a Spotify account to facebook in the first place; then you can go to EditPreferences then disconnect from facebook. This will no longer associate your fb account with your Spotify account.
Part 1. Disconnect Spotify from Facebook on Computer
This solution only works with Spotify users who created the account with email. If your Spotify account was signed up through Facebook, it’s impossible to disconnect Spotify from Facebook. In this case, you'll have to create a new Spotify account instead.
Step 1. Open Spotify desktop app on your computer. Then log into your account.
Step 2. Next to your user name, click 'arrow down' icon. Then Settings.
Step 3. Scroll down to Social section. Under Facebook, click DISCONNECT FROM FACEBOOK button.
Alternatively, if you only want to hide your Spotify playlists or other activities from Facebook, you don't need to disconnect from Facebook at all. You can simply disable the sharing feature in Spotify settings:
Under Social > Spotify, turn off Automatically make new playlists public and Show my current Top Artists.

Step 1. Open Facebook app on your Android phone and log in your Facebook account.
Step 2. Tap the 'hamburger' icon in the top-right corner. Then scroll down to Account Settings and tap it.

Step 4. Scroll down and you'll see Remove App option in the bottom-right corner. Press that button and you'll be required to confirm whether to remove Spotify or not. Tap Remove and Spotify app will be removed from Facebook quickly.

Step 1. Go to Facebook official site and log into your account.
Step 2. Click on 'arrow down' icon in top right corner of Facebook page. Then click Settings.

Step 4. In the pop-up window, click Remove to confirm. Then Spotify will be removed from your Facebook.
Part 3. Switch to A New Spotify Account without Facebook
If you cannot find the option to disconnect Spotify from Facebook with the above methods, then you need to sign out Spotify and create a brand new account. For Premium users, you should cancel the subscription firstly. If you have the student discount, you won't be able to apply it to your new account until 12 months have elapsed since you signed up for it.
While creating a new Spotify account, you are highly suggested to sign it up with an email address instead of logging in with Facebook. And as it's not allowed to have two Spotify accounts with the same email address, you should switch to a different email address this time.
