There is an idea to change this on the community though. If you connected a Spotify account to facebook in the first place; then you can go to EditPreferences then disconnect from facebook. This will no longer associate your fb account with your Spotify account.

Part 1. Disconnect Spotify from Facebook on Computer

This solution only works with Spotify users who created the account with email. If your Spotify account was signed up through Facebook, it’s impossible to disconnect Spotify from Facebook. In this case, you'll have to create a new Spotify account instead.

Step 1. Open Spotify desktop app on your computer. Then log into your account.

Step 2. Next to your user name, click 'arrow down' icon. Then Settings.

Step 3. Scroll down to Social section. Under Facebook, click DISCONNECT FROM FACEBOOK button.

Alternatively, if you only want to hide your Spotify playlists or other activities from Facebook, you don't need to disconnect from Facebook at all. You can simply disable the sharing feature in Spotify settings:

Under Social > Spotify, turn off Automatically make new playlists public and Show my current Top Artists.

Part 3. Switch to A New Spotify Account without Facebook

If you cannot find the option to disconnect Spotify from Facebook with the above methods, then you need to sign out Spotify and create a brand new account. For Premium users, you should cancel the subscription firstly. If you have the student discount, you won't be able to apply it to your new account until 12 months have elapsed since you signed up for it.
